We kindly invite you to join the ISC Big Data Conference this fall in Heidelberg, Germany, on October 1 and 2. In this second annual big data conference we will be presenting attendees with the latest developments in data-centric computing from both industry players and researchers. Our conference theme – From Data to Knowledge – reflects the nature of all big data applications, encapsulating the challenges as well as the solutions.

ISC Big Data’14 will explore all aspects of that data-to-knowledge path. The conference will kick off on Wednesday, October 1, with a keynote entitled “The Internet of Things,” presented by Dirk Slama of Bosch Software Innovations. Our second conference keynoter, Stefan Wrobel of the Fraunhofer Institute for Intelligent Analysis, will talk about “Big Data – Successes and Challenges beyond the Hype.” Conference topics include using SQL on top of Hadoop, A deep dive into the Hadoop ecosystem, premier case studies, pushing big data beyond the hype, security and privacy, visual analytics and big data in the EU.

 Agenda   Register

The conference will take place at the Marriott Hotel in Heidelberg, a day after the ISC Cloud Conference. A combined passport for both conferences enables a small savings on registration fees. Attendees include technical experts and key IT decision makers in the field.

We also partner with two significant E.U. based projects, BIG and EUDAT to present their workshops on September 30 at the same venue.
