A Lunch & Learn Round Table Discussion Meeting

Learn how PCI Express can expand your application data performance with higher bandwidth and lower latency.

Abstract:

Dolphin Interconnect has been a pioneer in PCI Express networking, providing hardware, software and support across a range of industries and applications. Dolphin Interconnect started as the cluster interconnect for Sun Micro Systems and their SCI bus and Sockets implementation in the 1990's.

Dolphin expanded into the industry standard server business in 2000 with a X86 Xeon / PCI based cluster interconnect and management offering accepted by Compaq Computer in 2001, and Compaq/HP continued to sell this technology until the software was sold to Platform Computing in 2008.

Dolphin has been investing heavily in on board embedded technology with the major suppliers: Intel, AMD, ARM for real time interconnect capabilities that Dolphin brings with its extremely low latency and Reflective Memory Solution.

Presenter’s Bio:

Dan Cox is a Business Development professional assisting Dolphin Interconnect Solutions providing outreach and awareness to US business and university developers. Dan’s career spans over 40 years of development, marketing, and management experience across large scale IBM Systems (OSVS1 Systems programming), through RISC Unix RT and POWER (driving AIX architectures and expanding AIX solution bases). He retired from IBM in 1997 but continued his career at Compaq/HP until 2007 working exclusively in cluster technologies and expanding Compaq’s Linux and Windows cluster business. He retired from Compaq/HP in 2007 to pursue a limited workload and provide technical marketing and analytical services to clients, and playing with his grandchildren.
